Industrial Fire Team Training
Our two-week Fire Team recruit course is aimed at industrial sites that have their own first response Emergency or Incident Response Fire Teams. The objective of the course is to provide learners with the core skills and competence to assess, make decisions and control a situation. The course provides competence in the following areas:
- Health & Safety
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Safety words and signals
- Hydrant and Pump theory
- Ladder theory
- Fire Behaviour
- Breathing Apparatus
- Casualty Handling
- Internal & external fire procedures
- Practical exercise
The course ends in a final team exercise and assessment.
We will aim to undertake most of the course on-site, dependent on your facilities, so that we cause as little disruption and time away from your site as possible. However, the Fire Behaviour part of the programme will need to take place at a specialist facility which SA Safety will organise.
Ideal learner numbers are between 8-12.
Your team now have all the skills but when was the last time these were tested in a live situation or maybe you have noticed bad habits in the exercises you run as part of team development?
We recommend that your Fire Team members refresh their core skills every 2 years at least when our experienced instructors will identify and assess any training requirements needed.
As a valued customer we are also able to attend your regular Fire Team development days to advise, facilitate and assess any exercises. This will enable us to identify any additional training requirements you may have.
